 Review: Kanotix: Debian/Sid on steroids

I have recently purchased a 2nd-hand IBM Thinkpad T23. 866 MHz P3, 256 megabytes RAM. Nothing special, but a very nice piece of machine. I have also bought a Netgear MA521 PCMCIA wireless network card to connect to my home network's router.

New hardware, new operating system. I will test two user friendly distributions on my laptop, one community based and one enterprise Linux operating system.

There is a great number of Debian based and other live Linux CD-s available. Kanotix, based on Debian Sid (unstable) and Knoppix is one of ,them. Is it yet another Knoppix-imitation? No, and I will tell you why. Read More @ LinuxTimes.net
