Basic Services Security On OS X

"What is this about? It's about some basics to help keep your system from being hacked. Pure and simple. I am not going to get into gory details like how the system spawns a service or where it resides when it runs. This really doesn't have a whole lot to do with the topic (at least not at a cursory level). However, what we're going to talk about are some basic things to consider when you want to run a service on your machine. Considering these things will help keep your box safe and your data where it belongs, in your possession."
