Open Group and Apple about UNIX
Will the Open Group loose its trademark on the UNIX name or will Apple have to pay a hefty yearly fee to continue to use the word UNIX throughout its marketing and promotional materials. The lawsuit between Apple and the Open Group will go back to court in two months time after a two years in the making and then after a one-year delay. osView's Kelly McNeill summarizes the situation and speaks with the Open Group and a technology attorney to put the pending legal matter into perspective.
