Oracle 9i EE Installation on Red Hat Linux

Werner Puschitz tells us how to install Oracle 9i EE on Red Hat Linux.

"Oracle says that the amount of disk space should be equal to twice the amount of RAM or at least 512MB, whichever is greater. I recommend to use more swap space, especially when you have other programs running on the Oracle server. On my PC I have 256MB RAM, and I used 600MB swap space. NOTE: If you do not have enough swap space during the Oracle installation, in particular during the database creation, your Oracle server can temporarely become unresponsive to any events for several minutes."
