 Metric equivalent of Microsoft fonts for Linux

Red Hat is all set to formally release a set of fonts which are the metric equivalent of most popular Microsoft fonts that are used on the web. The advantage of using metric equivalent fonts are that once and for all, Linux users can shrug away another one of the propritery tentacles at the same time enjoy all their favourate websites without facing any design glitches caused by not having the right Microsoft fonts installed on their machine.
